Off to Ireland

Friday, November 3rd, 2006

Well I’m off to Ireland today, I won’t be back for a while, not that you’ll notice.

The “Random” search

Saturday, September 2nd, 2006

Well after my flight was cancelled and I was waiting in line the next day to finally leave they gave me the “SSSS”. I immediately noticed and fortunately it only took another 10 minutes to make it through security. Ironically enough the questionable person was ahead of me and myself and the individual behind me were picked for “random” screening.

I’m finally back in Madison and there’s really nothing else to be said right now.

Well Houston it’s been fun…

Thursday, August 31st, 2006

…but I have to go back to the cold dairy farm that is Wisconsin today. I hope you had as much fun as I didn’t. Maybe next time we can go out and see some of the sites. We’ll make sure to hit up the places that actually have somewhat of a populace next time around.

A weekend in Rockford

Monday, June 5th, 2006

Well I took Rockford by storm this weekend. Met up with Matt and his friends (Ben and Carl) at Shogun. Who would think three individuals would be drunk before 8 and then proceed to eat sushi. Nothing says classy better than hitting on the waitress while using all four containers of soy sauce. If that wasn’t bad enough we decided to hit up Oscar’s, which is always a true joy. Luckily the rugby team was there to add to the already plentiful amount of men. Getting kicked out of bar isn’t as cool as the movies make you think, actually it sucks because then everyone your with has to leave too. Which meant we went back to The Silver Lounge for Pinot Noir, dancing, shots, Peaches and just plain weirdness.

Saturday was better: 4 hours of sleep, Swedish pancakes, margaritas, X-Men 3, frisbee, Thai Food, beer, Munich and passing out.

Sunday was just all right: finished Munich (all 3 hours), running, Quizno’s, Family Guy, working out, driving (lots of driving), Wingra Lake and grocery shopping.

The best part was of course Trace Bundy, enjoy!

Look out Dublin here I come

Wednesday, April 19th, 2006

I bought my ticket to Dublin tonight. We’re going Nov. 3rd – Nov. 11th which should be just enough time to have everything Guinness. Those interested in coming, air fare was pretty reasonable and the flight numbers are EI124 Chicago to Dublin and EI125 Dublin to Chicago.

There’s lot of fun to be had in Dublin!

Flordia update

Thursday, March 23rd, 2006

Well I consider Flordia the hit or miss state:

hit: nice weather, supposedly hot women (none were spotted), palm trees, beaches, lots of sun, free Internet everywhere including the airport!
miss: bad weather, horrible drivers, bad infastructure, bad sushi (albeit it was a buffet), horrible drivers

I had mixed emotions with my trip to Tampa, FL.  It might have been better had the construction subsided in the morning or I went to Clearwater to join the crew from GGW.

Site updates

Tuesday, March 21st, 2006

Well I’ve done some updating to stadix.net and I hope it’s improved the site. I’ve also added some additional content and will be updating some pictures as well.

I sat on the beach and read for a couple hours yesterday, yes I live the rough life down here in Tampa.

Well we made it to Tampa

Sunday, March 19th, 2006

My fast and I made it to Tampa, but we learned two very valuable lessons. One was never get stuck in the middle of two people on a plane, and two is never have kids. I spent 2 hours being kicked and screamed at while the parents gently reminded their kids every five minutes that kicking the seat was not polite. If it was my parents at that age we would’ve received a swift slap and that would be it. I wonder if people are too soft on their kids these days, as my boss called it mollycoddled.

For St. Patrick’s Day I did some very Irish celebrating. First, I went to a Syrah/Shiraz wine tasting and then we went out for sushi. It doesn’t get any more Irish than that, well besides corned beef and cabbage that is, I think. I followed that up with watching Alias. I then followed that up with watching 6 hours of Alias on Saturday and an episode of Sopranos, I did do some laundry between going to the bathroom and not shaving. We’ll have to see how the sushi is here, I have a lovely room overlooking the bay and that’s about all I have to say right now.

EDIT:

Well I stumbed onto this site today, http://www.imaginarygirlfriends.com, I was surprised by the prices seemed pretty cheap since I could spend that in a day with a “real” girlfriend.  I’ll save all the really good comments for later, but now I’m off to bed.

Gathering interest for Europe…

Wednesday, February 15th, 2006

Well I was checking out flights tonight and I was hoping to find person(s) who would be interested in traveling to Europe sometime around the end of October or begining of November. The places I’m interested in are:

-Rome, Italy

-Munich and Berlin, Germany

-Prague, Czech Republic

-Vienna, Austria

-Dublin, Ireland

It looks like a trip to Dublin would be the most cost efficient this year, and I’ve been told you can easily spend a week in Dublin and since I have some roots there I’d like to go. Anyone else interested? Anyone else have any ideas? Let me know!
