The Christmas Eve Post

Saturday, December 24th, 2005

Well so far Christmas is starting to rev up, snow is on the ground, people are at the end of their wits and I’m loving every second of lounging around doing absolutely nothing for once in my life. All my Christmas shopping is done (all 4 people)…it’s nice to keep things simple for yet another year.

So far one friend is having a baby, one asked his girlfriend to marry him and I received a bottle of Sake (from Ian’s awesome Mom) and watched Heathers which will be heavily quoted for the weeks to come. Yes, Christmas is certainly in full swing and now begins the pandominum, chaos and excellent food. How could you not love Christmas?

Sweet home Chicago

Sunday, December 18th, 2005

Well I’m packing for my week trip in Chicago and I’m excited. I’ll be staying at a nice hotel on Michigan Ave. and Wacker and will be close to a lot of the sights and who knows what else.

You can bet I was surprised…

Friday, December 16th, 2005

when I walked up to my door last night and found a non-biodegradable Styrofoam package. Apparently one of my friends sent me a nice slice of carcass for Christmas, thanks Kyle. It just looked funny since it litterally looked like an organ donor package. I’m thinking about putting it out by the door again, but finding labels for some organ so I can really do up this joke, but I don’t have that much free time now do I.

I’ll be in Chicago all next week and will hopefully make it to the Wheaton Warrenville South Alumni Hockey Game Thursday at 4:00 PM at 7-Bridges Ice Arena.

In related news you can now play Lite-Brite online!!

I’ll never go to the Dry Bean again

Thursday, December 15th, 2005

Need more reasons to NOT go to the Dry Bean besides it sucking and being full of hicks.

How about this http://www.madison.com/archives/read.php?ref=tct:2005:12:13:537876:FRONT

“I felt comfortable leaving her there because we go there all the time and she was just going to meet me at my place later,” Turchik said.

Good friends are hard to find, indeed!

I need to cry

“It is true that much of the intelligence turned out to be wrong. As president I am responsible for the decision to go into Iraq,”

–George W. Bush

Thanks “red states” for helping America become the most hated country.

Madison Party 4 wrap-up

Sunday, December 11th, 2005

Let’s do the numbers:

- $80 worth of alcohol and $20 worth of it gone. I need to have another party just to get rid of the alcohol.
- $35 worth of food and only a small portion of skittles left and some twizzlers. Need to pick up all the skittles thrown in the hallway, thanks.
- 4 hours of sleep after going to bed at 4:30AM and waking up at 8:30AM and driving 30 minutes to go to IHOP. Which didn’t help anything out.
- 3 comedians, I thought they were all ok, nothing too outstanding I saw the host headline before and the feature wasn’t as bad as some others, but the headliner was pretty good and I was laughing so hard I was crying which is the way it should be. Great impressions! Ironically also the number of people to puke after drinking a little bit way too much.
- 2 straight bars and 1 gay bar, read the post below. Apparently everyone knows that Shamrocks is a gay bar, except the person (who lives less than a mile away from that bar and goes to school here) that took us there. I will not discuss her name here for fear of being slapped.
- 1 person left behind in Madison accidentally after they didn’t follow us to the car. I will name Mike P. as that person just because I’ve felt nothing but bad for leaving him there, but secretly I think he did it on purpose. I think he had flashbacks from Florence.
- 0 women would talk to us either at Genna’s or Paul’s Club Saturday night, probably because I looked like I had the plague. Not like we were out on the prowl, but it did bring us back to our Florence experience were the women stepped on us.

Pictures to come shortly.

EDIT:

Pictures posted here http://www.stadix.net/gallery/v/madparty4, enjoy!

Good stuff to know on a Friday

Friday, December 9th, 2005

Finally someone is stepping up to the plate!

In other more interesting news, I’m right yet again.

Irish Car Bomb:

1/2 pint Guinness
1 oz Jamison
1/2 oz Bailey’s Irish cream

Pour Guiness into a pint glass. Float Baileys on top of Jamison in shot glass. Drop shot glass, carefully, into Guiness. Drink quickly before it curdles.

Rule #76: No excuses. Play like a champion!

I just saw Wedding Crashers last night and it was hilarious. Lots of great quotes and good fun all throughout the movie. I’ve also found the girl of my dreams Rachel McAdams, yes she is quite the woman. Yes, I know she was in The Notebook and Mean Girls, but she’s still suitable for my needs. I’m sorry Lindsay Lohan, but you’re co-star doesn’t smoke and is much more mature. Plus I don’t have to listen to her horrible records.

*This was meant to be a joke and in no way resembles my real life, as a gas station employee.

In other news it’s friggin cold here in Wisconsin, I miss the warm weather incredibly and I don’t want to buy new winter clothes, I’d rather winter just go away.

My Jetta IS safe?

Monday, December 5th, 2005

Apparently I drive one of the ten safest cars. Amazingly enough, I wonder if it counts that I’m in WI and drive like I’m from IL.
